Christian Education Program
Teachers and subs are always needed. Commitments range from every Sunday, indefinitely, to team teaching on a rotation.

Christian Education
Join an existing class or start a new one! Sunday morning (9:30 or 11:00) education opportunities are available for all ages. See Events/Classes for details.

Vacation Bible School
It takes many volunteers to make this annual week-long event possible for 40-50 children. VBS Director, Team Leaders, Crew Leaders and helpers are all needed.

Disciple Bible Study or Covenant Bible Study
Disciple I, II, III and IV (32 weeks), as well as the shorter Covenant Bible Study (24 weeks), are offered periodically when there are enough interested participants.

Short-term Bible Study
Short-term Bible study groups are formed whenever there is interest shown.

Greater Dayton Emmaus Walk
An Emmaus Walk is a 3-day spiritual enrichment experience designed to inspire, challenge, and equip local church members for Christian action.

Spiritual Gifts Survey
A written survey is available through the pastor which will help identify your unique, God-given gifts and talents. You will then be able to serve Christ in areas that are best suited to your special skills.

Summer Church Camp
A wide range of camping opportunities are available for all ages through our West Ohio United Methodist Camping Program.

College-Age Ministry
Our college-age people frequently "fall through the cracks" between youth and adult Sunday school, but their needs are just as great. Your participation can make a difference.

Small Group Ministry
We would like to develop a small group ministry where everyone in the congregation would belong to a small group for Bible study, support, & fellowship. Interested?

Connection Team
A team of callers welcomes and stays in touch with worship newcomers by phone until they have become active participants at Church of the Cross.

United Methodist Women
This group of women is united by their common interest and support of missions throughout the world. Four circles meet monthly at the church.

David Square
This men's group meets socially but also takes on construction and maintenance projects around the church when needed.

Men’s Prayer Breakfast
This group of men meet Saturday mornings for prayer and a light breakfast at the church. Newcomers are always welcome.

Youth Fellowship
Youth (grades 6-12) are always welcome. YF meets Sunday evenings at 5:30 for a meal and a study or social activity.
