Worship at Church of the Cross is a celebration of the Christ-filled life.
Our services express praise and thanksgiving to the living God through song, prayer, sermon, and personal testimony.
Our worship attendance averages 200 between two services. We have handicapped parking, a wheelchair ramp, large-print hymnals, and personal PA receivers for the hearing impaired. The sermons are lively, relevant, and always scripture based.
Childcare is available in the nursery during both services for children up to two years of age. Sunday school classes are available for children two years through 5th grade.
During the half hour between services you are invited to have a hot drink, snack, and share in fellowship in the hallway beside the sanctuary.
CONTEMPORARY: SUNDAYS AT 9:30am
Our contemporary service is an exciting opportunity to worship with praise choruses and instrumentation. A praise team of vocalists, piano, guitar and drums accompany all music.
A state-of-the-art multimedia system is used to project song lyrics, still images and videos. Drama and testimonies are also utilized. In an atmosphere of casual dress and acceptance, this multi-sensory service will appeal to all ages.
TRADITIONAL: SUNDAYS AT 11:00am
Our 11:00 service is traditional in style, utilizing the United Methodist Hymnal and organ or piano accompaniment. Our rich United Methodist heritage finds expression in the liturgy and hymns used in this service.
The Chancel Choir sings each week during this service. Occasionally other music groups such as Joy Unbounded and the Handbell Choir perform at this service. Pastor John preaches virtually identical sermons at both the 9:30 and 11:00 services.
