Emulating Emmanuel

Scripture: Luke 4:14-21

At the end of this passage Jesus says, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” He was referring to the Isaiah prophesy that he was anointed to proclaim good news to the poor, freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor. Jesus knew his purpose on this earth. What is your purpose?
