YOUTH SUPPORT

"We will create a place where Jesus Christ can change lives. This will be a place to which teens are drawn, where each person is loved and respected, nurtured and celebrated; where questions are allowed and doubts and fears can be openly expressed."

These words are part of our Youth Mission Statement. As an affirmation of this statement, Church of the Cross has developed and implemented a Safe Sanctuary Policy. The goal of this policy is to reduce the risk of sexual abuse occurring during any COTC sponsored youth ministry activity. We want to teach our youth about the love of Christ and that lesson requires a safe place where God's love is actively demonstrated. Adopting a Safe Sanctuary Policy is a loving and responsible step in providing a safe place in today's world.

Another way to support our youth is to volunteer. Here are some ways you can help:

Youth Group begins with a simple meal provided by church members most Sunday evenings.

Youth Group begins with a simple meal provided by church members most Sunday evenings.

Supply one or two Sunday evening meals during the year. Youth and leaders eat a light meal at 5:30 p.m. on most Sundays prior to their evening activity. These meals, for approximately 30 people, are provided by church members and friends. Click here for more information.

Contact the church office if you can help in this way or follow this link and fill out the response form.

Volunteer to chaperone any of their activities. Complete the Volunteer Application below send it to Kevin Robillard if you wish to help.

And, of course, your prayers for the success of our program and spiritual growth of our youth are always welcome!
