Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is not envious or boastful, arrogant, or rude. Love does not insist on its own way…does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. In our lifetime we have seen the transformational power of love through the witness of people like Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King and others. We too are called to live lives full of love for others.

The Power of Pentecost

On the day of Pentecost Jesus bequeathed to the Disciples the power of the Holy Spirit. Pentecost is the birthday of the church. Before this day, the disciples were a group of well-meaning guys who were very timid and uninspired, but after Pentecost these very same disciples became powerful, bold witnesses to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
